The world is changing, especially its forests. Time was, if you wanted lumber, you just went and cut down a tree and made the boards, but now, the trees are disappearing faster than is easy to comprehend. We all are ending up poorer because of it. The wildlife is diminishing, the globe keeps getting warmer, and wood products are becoming more expensive all the time.

We at Finca Leola S.A. are working at slowing this trend. We think that the best way to bring back the forest is to show how valuable it is. We start out by planting trees of faster-growing species that are very valuable when harvested. This way, we can quickly pay off the land that the trees are on - but among these trees, we are planting a future rainforest. A forest made up of many different kinds of trees, many very slow growing. Trees that support wildlife and trees that will still be around after all of us are gone. These trees will only be selectively harvested in a way that improves the rainforest, not destroys it. That way, the rainforest will be back, but protected and nurtured.

I don't have a lot of extra money to donate for good causes. Then, I found a way to do reforestation in Costa Rica and really help our world at the same time as diversifying my investments".

Of course, we by ourselves can only do so much - so we have decided to offer others the opportunity to participate with us. It isn't everyone who can (or wants to) live in a rainforest. But as stewards, we can take care of trees for you. You will help create a perpetual forest, and for doing that, you will receive a good return on your money.

How does this work? For every 100 trees we plant and maintain for you, 350 square meters of pasture will revert back to rainforest. We're here for the long haul - we live near our plantations in Costa Rica and care for your trees like we do our own. Proceeds from your trees start coming to you quicker than you might think.

A Smart Investment

You can tap into the market pressures that are destroying the rainforests and actually help bring them back. There is a strong demand for tropical hardwood, and it keeps growing. Wouldn't it be great if the very forces that are threatening the rainforest with extinction were used to cause it to increase instead of decrease!

Rather than put all of your investment dollars into stocks and bonds, how about investing some in trees? At least with trees, you know they're always going up! You will not only be getting a good return on your money, but you'll know you're helping bring about the return of the rainforest.
